One year older...

...and less hair, hehehe.

First day surviving in my own city!

My first day outside and I felt scary of myself. I went to have lunch with friends and going there I was saying everyone in the subway "excuse me", and not "perdone" as I supposed to say. When the train closed the doors on my face I tried to advise the driver to open them back but of course in Barcelona they don't do that, I felt embarrassed in this moment because everyone were looking at me. And I don't know why but I'm still carrying the compass in my pocket (maybe because I miss Jinhwa and now it reminds me her??). Oh! And almost the cars ran over me because I was crossing the street when the light was intermittent (in Barcelona I'm supposed to hold on in the sidewalk when it's intermittent) So after the lunch I prefered to go back home to feel safe.

Here I'm with Nurieta and Alicia. It was a pleasure seeing you again!!! We ate pinchos! Very typical spanish, I missed them in NY!!

The End :(

I can't believe it, my experience in NY is over.
I don't want it. In juny I'll go back. (already looking for tickets)
I feel confused here in Barcelona but maybe is because these last days I've only slept few hours and I see everything weird.

My first tea at home with my new cup to remember my stay in NY every morning:


Now I have to hold on awake some hours for the jetlag, until 9pm at least. I think that I'm not going to be able to do that, I'm really sleepy and my eyes are closing all the time :(
I miss Jinhwa, I miss all my friends in NY, I miss NY.

My family in NY

I don't know why but in all these three months I didn't say anything about the family who I lived with! They rented me a room but finally they were like a family for me. Very nice, generous, loving and kind.

There should be Jorge too, but he couldn't come on time to be in the picture before I left.

I only regret taking this picture with the small camera and not with the reflex one, it would be much better. But I have to say that Sun is a really good model! :)

Firefighters in NYC

I know that the firefighters of NY did a lot of heroics acts along the history, and actually I admire them like a little girl! but for these 3 months that I have been here I heard them making a lot of noise every day with their sirens to see them later getting out of the track, having a conversation in the street and then go back to the track and see them leaving. I've never seen them putting out a fire or saving a cat :( Wait! I don't want any fire! But I mean that I don't understand all these movements for anything, maybe the driver of the truck has to practice, I don't know.








I took these pictures this morning before I went to my class, they were in Woodside (Queens) and as usual, they only had a conversation on the street and then they left.
